La prima parte del pellegrinaggio è quella dove il pellegrino cozza col muro della fatica che sta compiendo. Per noi oggi non è stato diverso: pedalare sotto il sole con 25° C e 7 ore di jet lag ancora da smaltire è stato molto provante. Ed anche muoversi in zone che non si conoscono aggiunge il suo bel carico di incertezza.
Abbiamo però anche avuto modo di apprezzare il bello di questo pellegrinaggio: pellegrini che si fermano a chiederti chi sei e da dove vieni, altri che ti incoraggiano al tuo passaggio o che rispondono al tuo "gambatte kudasai" ("fai del tuo meglio") con un sorriso che ti ricarica di energie. Ed anche la fortuna di trovare un pellegrino italiano, Francesco, con cui fermarsi a scambiare due parole nella tua lingua madre.

The first part of the pilgrimage is where the pilgrim hits the wall of the effort is enduring. The same has been today for us: cycling under hot sun with 25°C and 7 hours jet lag has not been easy, plus also the uncertainty of travelling across places you don't know.
But you also get to experience the good sides of this pilgrimage: pilgrims stopping by to ask you where do you come from, others encouraging you or answering with a hearthwarming smile to your "gambatte kudasai " ("do your best"). And also the luck of meeting another italian pilgrim, with whom having some chat in your mother tongue.
